We're having a......
BOY!!!
We went to the doctor this morning for our 13 week ultrasound. I have been so anxious to have another ultrasound. It's been 7 weeks since I had seen my little munchkin and really wanted to make sure he was ok. They had said there was a chance we could find out at this ultrasound if it was a boy or girl. We knew we wanted to find out. As soon as she put the probe on my stomach his adorable body came up on the screen! I was soooo happy. The ultrasound tech said "There's your baby, just chillin out" She said he had his butt up in the air. Cute :) All she kept saying was how perfect everything looked. That's when the tears started coming. We heard his little heart beat! 162...perfect. Saw his tiny feet and arms. I don't think I have ever been more in love. Then she asked us if we wanted to know if it was a boy or girl. We said yes of course and she said, well it's a boy! For sure. We both just started crying. I had this feeling for the last few weeks that it was boy. So we are both totally thrilled. Best. Day. Ever. .....for now ;)

Running
I'm not a big believer in New Years Resolutions. I think if you want to make changes you should just do it and not wait for a New year. But I guess I kind of have one for this year. Start running again! I love running as most of you know. Last year I ran a half marathon. It was such a challenge and very fulfilling. I usually don't run as much in the summer because it's so hot. So this summer I took a break and then shortly after started IVF. Since September I have been on strict restrictions. No running. But recently my restrictions were lifted. So I have decided for the new year to start running again. I've read up a lot and everything says it's ok to run while pregnant. I started this week and boy am I out of shape!! But it felt great anyway. I'm only at 2 miles now and running slow. But my goal is to run 3 miles on my days off ... 3 times a week. So far so good! I'll keep going till it's too hot or it's too hard while being pregnant.

10 weeks
I am 10 weeks today! Time is going by so quickly. I am really starting to feel pregnant. I am very tired all the time. Steve has been a great sport, dealing with me falling asleep as soon as I get home from work. I am even tired on my days off. They say it gets better after 12 weeks. So I am hoping that it does get better. I am thankful to have no morning sickness. I feel good overall. I do get nauseous if I don't eat often. I can already feel my belly getting a bit bigger too. I really can't wait to have a cute belly. I have wanted to be pregnant for so long...so I am ok with all it brings. My sister-in-law, Kristi, gave me some great pregnancy things for Christmas. She gave me a book to keep track of my pregnancy, a countdown book, saltines, bra extenders, lotion, tums, pops for nausea. I have already used everything! I will be looking to her and my other sister-in-law, Christy, for lots of advice. They both have beautiful kids.
Baby's First Gift!
My mom is in town for the month of January! She and my dad came over for dinner this weekend. My mom is an amazing quilter. She gave our new baby it's first gift!! It is a beautiful Berenstein Bears quilt. When I was kid, I loved the Berenstein bears. So this is a perfect gift! It will be great to lay down in our living room and let our new baby crawl, roll and sleep on it :)
Ob/Gyn Appt
I have now officially found our new doctor's office. They are called the Woman's Group of Tampa. They are located about 5 minutes from our new home. I had my first appt on Friday. My mom is in town for the month, so she came along. It was nice to have her company. They were all very nice in the office. For my first appt they had me meet with a Nurse Practitioner. Since I have already been tested for every know disease, they didn't have to do too much. They took more blood....ugh! I have probably had my blood drawn over 20 times in the last 4 months. It does get old. But as long as everything looks great, then I don't care. Our next appt is in 4 weeks at 13 1/2 weeks. At this appt they will do some more testing and then they told me there was a 80% chance they would be able to tell us if our baby will be a boy or a girl! So Steve will join me for that ultrasound!! Then I will be in my second trimester already!
First Ultrasound!
Steve and I went in for our first ultrasound at 7 weeks. This was our last appointment with The Reproductive Medicine Group. This ultrasound was going to tell us if we were having one for two babies. We both were nervous but going to be happy either way. So the ultrasound technician and our doctor came in and started the ultrasound. Right away they said...."There's your baby, and we see one!" They said everything looked good and the baby's heartbeat was at 129. Right on track! They made sure to look around and make sure there weren't any more :) Then they took some more measurements and we were all set. They released me to an OB/GYN now. Our due date is August 5, 2014!!
