Pregnancy = Colds!

I never get colds but now I've had 2 this pregnancy.  I had tonsillitis in Feb and now I have a cold.  A horrible one too!!  It came on slow last week and now is at it's worse.   I tried to go to work yesterday but they sent me home.  I felt so bad cus we have a really sick manatee too so I just started crying.  I hate being sick and leaving my team short.  This cold has a cough, stuffed nose, and sneezing.  I haven't really slept in 2 days cus I can't breath.  Hardest part of being sick when pregnant is limited meds.  But now I'm desperate.  Turning to my approved medication list now to see if I can make myself feel better enough to sleep.  Baby Lippincott has been moving like crazy so I know he's doing ok.  His movements now make my whole belly shake.  So cool!!  Hoping to feel better soon.  Venting on this blog is making me feel better too.  

Ultrasound

We got to go to another ultrasound today  for our munchkin!  They were checking to make sure everything looked good since IVF babies can have heart issues.  All looks good!!  The heart looks fine.  He is 3.1 pounds and in the 56th percentile.  Dr was happy.  He has a big head though.  That was the only thing but again not necessarily an issue.  Baby Lipp wasn't super cooperative.  He kept putting his arms and hands in front if his face.   So we didn't get to see it.  :(  the little bit we did see were the cheeks.  She said they were chubby.  He also has straight across toes, stubby.  He got those from Steve.  He also has lots of hair too!  So happy all is good.  11 weeks to go.  Getting so close!!! 

28 weeks

Third trimester is here!   Wow this pregnancy is going fast.  It's really been fun and such a great adventure.  Recently though I have been getting bad rib pain on my right side.  I called my Dr and they thought it could be gas.  So I've been taking gasx for a week or so.  I haven't really noticed a difference.  I have good days and bad days.  Today I went in for my 28 week appt.  I asked about it and she said I should get it checked out further.  Could be nothing or it could be gallbladder, kidney, liver or pancreas.  Better to get an abdominal ultrasound to check.  I'm going Friday.  She also ordered blood work to check liver values.  So we'll see.  I'll probably find out results next week.  I also had my one hour glucose test.   That was easy.  My drink was orange flavored and really wasn't bad.  I'll find out results on that next week too.   

Work is becoming a little harder.  It's now hot!  90 degrees everyday.  Mornings are ok but afternoons are hard.  I'm drinking TONS of water which helps.  Just powering through these last 12 weeks.  I just love air conditioning and days off.  

Baby Shower

I had a beautiful baby shower!  I am so lucky to have an amazing family.  My two SIL and best friend hosted the shower!  

They did a great job!!  Cute decorations, yummy food and drinks and cute games.    I knew it would be great since they all have great taste!  

I liked the guess the baby's name game. Of course everyone wanted to know if any were right.  But I'm not saying!!!  

I have never seen so many cute baby clothes. Our boy is going to be well dressed.  Steve said he'll have to do Facebook fashion shows to show off all his clothes.   Everyone was so generous. It was really thoughtful of people from out of town to send gifts.  I was truly touched.  

He is already super spoiled!  So amazing.
