38 weeks
Only 11 days till I'm due! Just waiting to see what baby wants to do. As much as I want to meet him, he can show up when he's ready! Had a doctors appt today. I had to have an NST a Non Stress test done. Where they strap you up to a monitor to see how's baby heart rate is compared to movements. He was moving at first but then fell asleep. They had to stimulate my stomach to wake him up. Then he started moving again. All looks good with him though. I'm 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced. So good progress. I'm still measuring small at 36 weeks but they are glad baby is 6 lbs. Next week I'll have to have another growth scan. They check fluid levels too to make sure it all looks ok. She said as we get close to his due date we need to make sure he's ok and getting what he needs from my placenta.

Dr update
Went to the dr today. We had another ultrasound. She measured his head, abdomen, and femur to get his estimated size. She measured all 3 times and got 6 lb 11oz. So that means he's up almost 2 lbs in 3 weeks! Phew. So we are very happy. He can now come whenever he's ready. Next week is a stress test at the dr to see how he's doing. We are ready and can't wait!!
We stocked up at Target today on some goods so incase we can't get to the store as much we will have some staple items.
My boss was funny at work yesterday. We are going to be releasing one of our manatees soon. She wanted to know when I could give birth. I said "anytime"! She was like "oh.... I didn't realize that". I think she just has the due date in her head. I told her she better plan to release the manatee next week since it's less likely I'll deliver. I think she is still in denial that I'm having a baby :)
I feel bigger this week. Not huge just bigger. No swelling though, which is awesome. My feet hurt after working my 12 hour day. More than they usually do. Sleeping isn't easy. I keep waking up thirsty. So trying to drink more water. Baby is still kicking like crazy!! His foot on the left side jabs me like 30 times a day. Hurts but it's so cute!!!
17 days....

Week 36
Had another doctors appt today. Baby is still small. When she measured me I'm only 33 weeks instead of 36 weeks. I'll have to another ultrasound next Friday to check his progression. I'm def nervous that he's small. Hoping next week he's close to 6 lbs at least. The doctors seem ok with it but I can't but worry a little. She checked to see if I'm dilated at all. Said my cervix is starting to soften which is good. Body is getting ready. I only gained one pound in 2 weeks. I'm trying to eat more! But I get nauseous sometimes. So we'll see. Steve asked a bunch of questions about labor today so I can tell he is getting excited too.
I am also a hormonal mess too. I cried today at lowes over a shelf, when Steve swerved his car and I thought we almost hit someone, and then watching a wedding at the golf course. Yeah I'm a mess!! Poor Steve is being a trooper.
Today we bought a few more things at Target. Got some nursing gear and stuff for my hospital bag. My breast pump came today. Ordered my nursing bras. Feel good. :) Going to organize the house a bit. Might as well when we are waiting!

4 weeks
Hard to believe 4 weeks from today I am due!! I'm not sure if I'm having Braxton hicks but feels like things are changing. Baby feels much bigger today and my belly keeps tightening. Luckily no swelling yet but my feet are killing me. More from work than anything. The last 2 days at work were really hard. We have a lot going on and not a lot of people which means I have to run around all day like crazy. I'm looking forward to my leave. I know I'll be tired and busy but it will be a different kind of tired. Not as much physically on my body. Looking forward to a new challenge. Ethel is testing us too. She has been waking us up at 2 and 4 or 5 every night because of storms or having to go out. She's making us practice. We installed our car seat! Just gotta pack my hospital bag and we'll be ready!! Excited!Tuesday, July 1, 2014
Baby update
Today we are 35 weeks! 36 days till our due date!!!!!!!
We had our 34 week appointment last Friday. Steve's parents were in town so they came along to the appointment as well. We had to get an ultrasound to check the size of the baby. He is 4lbs 13 oz. In the 22nd percentile right now. Small but looks great. We saw him drinking again :) He had his feet by his head again too. He really is a little yoga baby. Our ultrasound tech also did a quick 4D scan for us too so we finally got to his face. Adorable! He has Steve's nose for sure. And has lots of hair. We met with the doctor after. She said she wasn't too concerned with his size because we are both small. They will keep checking and probably do another ultrasound in a few weeks to double check. I have gained 20 lbs since the beginning. The range I am supposed to gain is 25-35. So looks like I will probably be right there once we are near the end. My doctor said to keep eating! Ok, no problem. I think I haven't gained a lot of weight because of my job. We are so active all day. My biggest issue right now is staying hydrated at work. I have been carrying my water bottle around like a baby all day. It has been REALLY hot this week, more than normal. Yesterday we set a new record high of 96. That was last set back in 1959. So that's always fun to have happen when you are pregnant! Everyone at works how I am doing and they have no idea how I am doing it, and neither do I. It's been hard but just pushing through! In one month (or so) I will have my baby and we can hide in the A/C all of August.
Steve's mom brought down most of the stuff from my first shower last week. It took me 2 hours to go through everything and get organized. Which was fun! I am still trying to get organized and go through all the amazing things we have gotten. The nursery is done except for we need a shelf to go above his changing table.
Things still to do: Put car seat in, wash clothes and blankets, attach co-sleeper to bed, pack hospital bag, have small panic attack that we are going to have a baby soon, and enjoy the small time we have left with just the two of us!
Yea!
