We got some good news. Steve got the job as a manager of a Golftec center closer to our home. He starts in October. It's only 15 mins from our house, 1 mile from daycare, and he got a raise. It used to take him 45 mins to get to work so this is huge! Steve is going to be our daycare person. He'll take AJ and pick him up. We only need daycare 3 days a week and found out that our daycare will do that. So we only have to pay for the 3 days instead of 5. That will save us like $60 a week! Good news.

That is great news about Steve's job and him being so close to home and daycare. And I think it's easier when dad does the drop offs anyways. So nice that your daycare can do partime, that makes your paycheck go further!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how AJ has changed in 7 weeks - it's amazing! There's your breastfeeding motivation right there, YOU have grown him! With your milk! It's amazing thing
That is fantastic news about Steve's job and daycare!! Congratulations to Steve! I'm so happy for you guys.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to quit breastfeeding like crazy with Jack. I wanted to quit before we even got going since he didn't latch until 8 weeks and I was pumping all the darn time until then. I remember having a meltdown myself and feeling like everyone was going to be disappointed in me if I quit. I think that might have been the only reason I kept going, but for what it's worth, once things got easier, I was really glad we stuck it out. And not just for the typical things you hear, but the big one for me was just that it got so easy later on. I remember at 12 weeks, Jack had a little bit more head control and we really got in the swing of things, and breastfeeding became the most convenient way to feed him.
Are you still in pain from the thrush? Let me know if you want any more info about the gentian violet and grapefruit seed extract.
Being overtired is no joke! I'm glad you got a nap!
The pain is from thrush and poor latch. I've been working on the latch but it isn't better. I think it could be from his lip tie.
